The First Nexus 7
Last year I purchased a Nexus 7 for a general device for doing all the casual stuff, Facebook, Twitter and the rest. It was awesome for reading posts and comics and really it was my little "on the tube" buddy. But then it started to do more and more.
My only other smart device was my iPhone 4 which quiet frankly the word "smart" is an over statement. I mean sharing from one app to another on my iPhone is restrictive, GUI is boring, and being loaded with endless amounts of apps that I can't see myself using.
So with that my iPhone became nothing more than a phone (in which 50% of calls drop) and a wireless tether (which works intermittently). So my Nexus became my primary device and changed my digital lifestyle, check my blog post here.
So using the awesome little device was a big part off my day, control the Sonos and my XBMC. Watching YouTube and reading comics. And funnily become most useful as a work tool than my work iPhone.
The Next Generation
When it was announced that there would be a new Nexus 7, I decided I was going to buy it. When it arrived I took it out and loaded it up, it was lighter and narrower. More pocketable and great as a one handed device (something the iPad mini cannot claim). But the power in this little thing is awesome, swiping through the hoe screen and having plenty of widgets is amazing. Games running amazing well and the full HD screen and brightness makes everything look incredible.
The addition of a rear facing camera means I am no longer required to take burry crap photos on my iPhone and share to my Nexus 7. And I made my first Photo Sphere!!
So in conclusion, I am enjoying using and needing to use my Nexus 7 (2013) so far :)
